Frequently Asked Questions
Navigating dental care can be confusing, but our FAQ section is here to clear things up! Find detailed answers to common questions about treatments, appointments, and more.
Do you only treat children?
No! We provide comprehensive care for patients of ALL AGES, including family-friendly exams and cleanings.
Do you offer emergency services?
Absolutely. If you’re experiencing a dental emergency, call us immediately at (816) 228-8400. Our team works diligently to see emergency patients ASAP.
How long will my dental appointment take?
Most routine checkups and cleanings take a minimum of an hour. If you’re receiving more extensive treatment, such as fillings or crowns, the appointment will take longer. Please contact our office if you have questions about a specific treatment time length.
Are dental x-rays safe?
Yes, dental X-rays are very safe. We use digital X-rays, which require a fraction of the radiation compared to traditional X-rays. The American Dental Association (ADA) no longer recommends the use of lead aprons for routine X-rays because the amount of radiation used is minimal.
Do you offer sedation or anesthesia during dental procedures?
No, but we do offer oral anxiolysis and local anesthetic to ensure you’re comfortable during treatments. We’ll discuss the best option for you based on your needs and procedure.
