February is Children’s Dental Health Month, a time dedicated to promoting healthy smiles and positive experiences for children. At Once Upon A Smile, we believe supporting children’s health goes beyond oral care—it’s about compassion, comfort, and community.

At Once Upon A Smile, we believe in caring for our community both inside and outside the dental office. That’s why we’re proud to host a Toy Drive benefiting Children’s Mercy Hospital, helping bring comfort, creativity, and joy to children during their hospital stay.

Art Supplies

• Non-toxic crayons (small packs of 8–16; Crayola preferred)
• Non-toxic washable markers (small packs of 8–10; fine & broad point)
• Coloring books (child & adult)
• Colored pencils
• Art activity kits
• Stickers & sticker books
• Play-Doh & Model Magic

Games

• Card games
• Word searches, Sudoku & crossword puzzles
• Board games
• Puzzles

Comfort Items

• Journals & gel pens
• Fidget poppers
• New books for infants through teens (multilingual encouraged)
• Stuffed animals
• Headphones or Bluetooth speakers
• Toys for all ages

Donation Guidelines

To ensure the safety of patients, all donated items must be:

• New with tags attached
• In original packaging
• Non-toxic and latex-free
• Odor-free
